Students will be working in different projects related to free trade agreements, local laws or helping a congressman or advisors. Student requires their personal computer as well as formal suits to work here.

Students will be working in different departments especially with topics related to international commerce and local laws, patents, sanitary and phitosanitary measures, etc.

This center founded by the Quakers is a perfect place for students who likes field Works, doing research in topics such free trade, environmental projects, politics, etc. In some occasions this center works together with the Costa Rican congress and it is a media for public pressure and opinion.

This institute offers PhD and master degrees in Latin American Studies and human rights. The student will be an assistant for the director of the institute or professors. Student will have to help local students and help the professors to prepare their lessons. Students will be able to be in the classroom with other Latin American students and learn about different topics. (No school’s credits are given for attending classes).

Students will be working with native students, professors and local and foreign scientists. Most of the work will be in the research area or helping to develop projects such conservation, biodiversity, helping school’s groups, etc.

Students can work as a teacher’s assistant, helping the students with homework, checking papers, teach the lesson sometimes, develop recreation activities, work on school projects such theaters presentations, etc.

ILASO offers positions as an assistant director. Student will be working with foreign students who come to Costa Rica to learn Spanish. As an assistant director, student will have the responsibility to find cultural activities in the city to inform the students, as well as participate in the weekend excursions.

The position with ILASO’s staff is very special, because student working with us will be able to enroll a Spanish class at any university in Costa Rica for free and get an official transcript to transfer credits back home. In the afternoon, student will be working at the ILASO’s office accompanying the groups in cultural activities.

Special price for this position $1000 (4 weeks) $2500 (3 months). ILASO’s also offers an allowance of $200 monthly for personal expenses.

Student can work taking care of kids at the orphanage, helping kids with homework, playing with them, and help the persons in charge to feed the babies.

For business students, we offer positions in several companies related to publicity, marketing, commerce, technology, etc. the position can be related to administration, managing, advertising and other fields. Students will receive a special training for 3 days about business in Costa Rica, especially in customer service and cultural approaches.
