1:
1) General review of grammar within
texts. Emphasis in the comprehension of
the linguistic functions of each structure.
• Classification of verbs: copulative,
predicative, transitive, intransitive, nominal
and pronominal (direct and indirect - transition
verbs)
• Enclitics: direct, indirect and
circumstantial complements
• The verbs and the individual (verbal
periphhrases in different tenses: venir
"to come"+gerund, acabar "to
finish"+gerund, seguir "to follow"+gerund,
etc)
2) General review of the Indicative tense
and its uses:
• Simple verbs
• Compound verbs: (study the regular
and irregular participles)
Exercises for the preparation of the first
draft of the written report.
Week 2:
1) General review of the Subjunctive
tense and its uses (including the legal
use of the Future)
2) Study of the process of exposition writing
• Types of introductions
• The narrative expressions of transition
• The conclusion

presentation.
Week 3:
1. Practice with prepositions and
study of classification: separable prepositions,
components, prepositional participles, prepositional
phrases.
(All the prepositions and some expressions
such as: debido a "due to", más
de "more than", romper a "break
with", estar harta/o "to be fed
up with", estar acostumbrados a "
to be accustomed to ", a pesar de "in
spite of", en exceso "in excess
of", estar seguro/a de "to be
sure of". preocuparse por "to
worry about", estar cansado/a de "to
be tired of", queda en "to agree
to", para sí mismo/a "for
oneself", de sí mismo/a "for
oneself", de manera /forma que "so
that", con el propósito de "in
order to", etc)
2. Review of adverbs and study of their
function and classification: place, mood,
tense, order, quantity, affirmation, negation,
comparison, doubt.
3. Syntactic analysis of texts beginning
from the study of the classification of
simple sentences: according to significance,
declarative, interrogative, dubitative,
exclamatory, imperative

with the study of the classification of
compound sentences

• Coordination: copulative, disjunctive,
adversative, distributive
• Subordination: substantive, adjective,
circumstantial

1. Study of homonyms
2. Review of Conditional sentences
3. Introduction to the use of other tenses
